I did some research before purchasing this maytag and glad I did. This model had the most consistent positive reviews on multiple websites. I've used it for quilting and sewing projects going on 6 months now and its performed flawlessly. It heats fast, NEVER leaks or drips water and has lots of settings. Its easy to see the water level and refill too. It has a good weight and feel in the hand. I held a bunch of irons at my local stores but when I tried this one it just felt right. The cord is plenty long and flexible too. This is a quality iron and I highly recommend it!

Contrary to some reviews, and in spite of so many 'rules' for not only beginning use of this iron, and then using the iron, it actually as quite easy. However, the little odd shaped container in which you're supposed to put the exact amount of water to put in the iron, is just that...odd, and can be a pain beginning to pour the water into the iron. However, also contrary to reviews, the iron is not at all heavy, much lighter than the well-known higher priced brand. The steam is even and perfectly timed. I am quite pleasedd.

My old Black and Decker cheap iron finally gave out so I needed a new one. After looking around and checking out the reviews I ordered this Maytag. Wow! It's a great iron. I wear lots of linen in the summer and it can be a total pain to get rid of the wrinkles. With my old iron, I needed to use spray starch or a water spray to get my linen looking good. However, the Maytag puts out enough steam that I don't have to use anything else to make linen look fabulous. The other thing I like is that it's not heavy and very easy to use (I ordered a big Rowenta last year and had to return it because it was way too heavy). It comes with a little plastic cup with a spout which makes it super easy to fill the iron with water. After ironing, just turn the iron upside down to empty the water chamber. My only complaint is that it's too big to fit in the iron holder for my built-in ironing board, but to get my linen items smooth and looking great with minimal effort, I will store it elsewhere!! Another great Maytag product!!

I love this iron! I sew a lot and so I have a lot of ironing to do. Previously, I had a cheap retro-look iron that spit water everywhere and wouldn't steam reliably. I love that this one steams really well, very reliably, and it has a push button for when the steam doesn't come out immediately and it needs to get started. It isn't quite as easy to use as I had hoped for the vertical steam function (for steaming clothes) but for what I need, it's perfect. It heats quickly and the water doesn't leak out. You can remove the water holder and put it under the tap, and I thought I would love that function, but I actually find it easier to use the included little spout container to just pour it in the iron directly. I did have a bit of white stuff coming out the first time like the directions said, so it's good to follow the instructions and use a whole water tank on a towel or something random.

PRO: great steam and a great price for the capability, neat little filling jug CON: bizarre filling position, fussy little filling 'jug' This iron is a huge improvement over the Rowenta that I previously owned. It delivers a robust amount of steam even at moderate temperature settings, and it does what an iron is supposed to do: get wrinkles out of clothing. My only complaint is that it's designed to be filled while the plate is lying on a flat surface, which is a bit dicey when the iron is hot. The reservoir is small enough that you need to fill it with some frequency, and I find I have to turn off the iron, let it cool, and then fill it. It comes with a little jug that's designed to neatly pour water into the reservoir. The jug works well, but I can't decide whether it's a thoughtful touch or a fussy add-on Bottom line: I'm happy with what I got given what I paid. Recommended.

LOVE THIS IRON!. Heats up quick. Super easy to use. The myst and spray buttons work great. Putting water in is the cleanest of any iron I've ever had. Doesn't spill or drip AT ALL. cools down really quick too. Oh, and it's pretty light. Best iron I've ever had.

Really fantastic iron. Heats in a minute. The water tank is amazing. You remove it and fit it and the iron keeps heating! It is a heavy iron. The non stick surface makes this a dream to iron. Love just about everything about it. great steam. Wirth the investment. Good balanced iron. Great design and functions really well.

Best iron ever! I replaced a two year old Rowenta that would never steam - would only do a shot of steam. I had sent that one in for repair and it was returned in same condition. The Maytag is a dream - excellent temperature control, steady steam, easy to fill, and lightweight enough that my wrist doesn't hurt even after a couple of hours at the ironing board. Highly recommend!

I've been using this iron for a couple of months and I'm very pleased with it. It heats up fast, glides smoothly and pours out a ton of steam. One little annoyance is that the position of the heat setting button makes it easy to accidentally hit and change when picking up the iron. However, it's not a deal breaker for me. Also love that it uses regular tap water and not distilled!

LOVE IT!!!! By far the best iron I have ever purchased --- I have spent over 100.00 for the BIG NAME iron and this is MUCH better. It does heat up very quickly and plenty of steam too.
