OK - these guys have great followup!
You guys are great - you made me laugh Ok - so this one is for Little Jamy. I normally don't respond with reviews for little things like this. This was a few packages of snakes to scare the birds away from our building. They've been nesting and driving my wife nuts. The snakes are working great for this purpose.... So I got this email today from the team following up. They said that every review rings a buzzer in the office and Little Jamy grows just a bit taller each time (and Grumpy Donald gets a little less grumpy). It made me laugh, and better yet compelled me to respond. So Jamy, this one is for you brother!

DETERRENT
Thus far I will give 5 stars; however, I have not used this product long enough to know for sure if it is working for intended purpose. I placed the snakes around my garage and perimeter of the house for rodent deterrent. I have seen a huge decrease in activity in the garage. Can't say for sure about under the house and around it yet. I will probably order another set and place them in the crawl space under the house.

These snakes were perfect! I spray painted their bellies black
These snakes were perfect! I spray painted their bellies black, glued crystals to their eyes and placed them on a headpiece for the perfect Medusa costume! I got rave reviews. I loved the snakes. The variety was wonderful, they were well described in the listing and they were delivered as promised. They are not at all stiff so appeared more life-like. Thanks so much for a great product!

Scares birds and wife.
I didn't expect much from these. They are like baby snakes. My wife forgot about helping me distribute them around the swimming pool gazebo rafters and on the ledges of the concrete wall of the flower bed. She just about jumps out of her skin when she re-encounters them. Amazingly, the bird poop on the outdoor furniture stopped! I would have lost a bet. UPDATE: a whole winter season later - no bird poop on stored furniture. No nest starts this spring in the gazebo. I definitely would have lost a bet. Ordering more. The funny thing is, these snakes do not represent or look like local snakes at all.

Keeps squirrels and birds at bay
I bought these to deter squirrels and blue jays, both of which like to dig around my plants while burying seeds, etc. The first few days the snakes were 100% effective -- not a single plant destroyed after literally daily depredations. The effect didn't last, though, so I moved the snakes to new locations hoping to scare them again -- and it worked. I plan to move the snakes to new locations every other day or so, and hopefully this will keep the pests at bay. It's a relief to find something that works at all -- blood meal works, but once wet loses its effectiveness. Some people put out cayenne (works for squirrels, not for birds) but I think it's kind of mean to burn the squirrel's hands and mouths, since as with people cayenne can actually damage mucus membranes if the concentration is high enough. The snakes work well to keep the pests at bay, nobody gets hurt, and it's much easier than covering the soil with planks or cardboard. If you have a bird or squirrel problem and want a humane, environmentally-friendly solution, you should give these a try.

Medusa!
I searched all around town for snakes like these. I couldn't find them anywhere, so I took a look on Amazon. I was working on a last minute costume for Halloween and wanted small, wiggly snakes to complete my headpiece, these were perfect. For less than $1 apiece and super fast shipping my costume was a big hit!

How many snakes fit in a water bottle?
TLDR: Great snakes, exactly what we needed for our prank. If you need snakes buy these, you're already looking at them. We have a tradition of sending hate mail to our best friend far off in the big city. He left his water bottle at our house and we decided to mail it back with a little surprise. We got these snakes and some fake spiders and filled the 20oz metal bottle with them, packaged it up and sent it off. Soon, waiting for him on his doorstep was his familiar hydroflask, but lurking inside were his deepest fears. The package was stolen shortly after being dropped off. Friend never got the parcel and we were robbed of getting a video of him opening it. We take solace in the knowledge that when the thief opened the box, they were in for a bit of a surprise. But the snakes were great. And 5, 5 is how many snakes we fit in the water bottle, along with lots of spiders.

Props for film production
We recommend them! We are constantly building props for film production. We needed snakes for a simple medusa headpiece, but couldn't find anything locally that would hold the gold paint. Found these on Amazon and they worked perfectly. They were shipped fast, great price and now Everything u Need is a new source for our business.

Want to scare birds? Look no further.
I bought these snakes to put on our roof to ward off the crows that were pecking holes in the roofing material. No sooner that I came off the roof than a group landed and put up a real ruckus. While I mistakenly thought they were feasting on the rubber snakes they were actually screaming in terror! Off they flew and have not been back to my knowledge. We have tried all sorts of things to ward off the birds some expensive and high tech but these snakes seem to be the solution. Thank you.

Bye Bye Birdie!
As much as I enjoyed scaring the bejesus out of the girls with these items as a young man, I must admit that, later in life, I found a professional use for these little guys. I work for a self storage company as a Facility Manager. We were having a great deal of trouble with nesting birds clogging the enclosed rain gutters on our steel buildings. This can grow to a serious problem as poor drainage leads quickly to leaking roofs and water inside the storage units. On the advise of one of my uncles, and feeling a bit foolish, I reluctantly spent one afternoon tossing the rubber snakes up onto the roofs of our buildings. Viola! No more birds. Worked like a charm. The birds will not nest in areas where there are perceived predators. I would heartily recommend these if your are having problems with nesting birds. I may need to make a note to advise the HVAC guy next time he is headed up to the roof to service the A/C units. Or not, perhaps.
